When we see each other online, classmates frequently ask about that colorful thing hanging on the wall behind me. Is it my conspiracy theory? Forgotten resolutions of New Years past? How does it work?

Post-It jokes aside, this curiosity is the outline for my award-winning novel-in-progress, The Butcher’s Apprentice. In 2022, when I’m not taking writing classes, I’ll be at work on the next draft of my novel. How do you organize and stay focused on your writing? Drop me a line with your best methods; I’d like to share your tips!

Please stay in touch as you write your way through the new year! I love to hear from past and current classmates, instructors, and other new and emerging fiction writers. Subscribe to my newsletter for occasional updates and WriteGuide Blog announcements.

Wishing you a creative, healthy, and joyous New Year!
